Brightwells - Ascot Sale (Breeze Up)

On the back of the success of last year’s Brightwells Ascot Breeze-Up sale, this year’s catalogue has attracted a high quality entry of 54 two-year-olds to be offered on Wednesday 1st April. Horses will breeze on the racecourse at 10.30am on Wednesday morning, with selling to commence at 3.00pm.

Last year’s sale produced outstanding results on the track with a 58% strike rate of winners to runners, headlined by The Wow Signal, consigned by Lynn Lodge Stud and sold for £50,000, who recorded Group 1 success in the Prix Morny at Deauville, as well as winning the Group 2 Coventry stakes at the Royal Meeting. Other notable graduates of the sale include Bronze Maquette, consigned by Brown Island Stables, who sold for £40,000, winner of the Listed St Hugh’s Stakes at Newbury and Son Of Africa, winner of the valuable nursery at Glorious Goodwood, consigned by Mocklershill and purchased by Henry Candy for £52,000.
